I am really looking forward to the CIS Service Learning Project in hopes of helping a student or groups of students overcome academic challenges in school.
I will be planning on going to Burrus Elementary School every Friday for 10 weeks and volunteering to tutor underprivileged students.
My ultimate goal is to find ways to make the material easier for the students to understand and to help them succeed academically. I want to teach the material in a way that the students can find more relatable and easier to remember.
